Tension as country made bombs found in hospital canteen


KANNUR: Thaliparamba Police have seized two country made bombs from the canteen of Thaliparamba Cooperative Hospital in the early hours of today. According to police, two country made bombs were found by C Raveendran (45), an employee of the canteen, at 0445 hrs when he came to duty. Raveendran informed the police and bomb squad defused the explosives later.


Meanwhile, late last night, clashes between the CPI (M) and IUML were reported from Naduvil and Sreekandapuram. Three CPI (M) workers suffered stab injuries in the attack allegedly by IUML activists at Naduvil Town under Kudiyanmala police limits.
