Nurses’ strike: Talks fail to reach consensus

Wednesday, February 29, 2012: The talks held between Labour department and the representatives of the nurses’ associations and hospital managements to resolve the problems faced by the Kerala nurses, failed to reach consensus.
Labour Minister Shibu Baby John said that the discussions will be held again on Monday. The Minister said that the hospitals cannot operate in Kerala without giving minimum wages to nurses.
