Tvm: Seven escape unhurt as autorickshaw plunges into canal


Thursday, February 16, 2012: Seven school children escaped unhurt after an auto rickshaw carrying them plunged into Parvathy Puthanar canal near Karikkakom in Thiruvananthapuram district on Thursday evening.
The incident occurred around 4:15 pm. According to the autorickshaw driver the accident occurred when he was trying to give way for another vehicle.
The incident occurred just a day prior to the first anniversary of the Karikkakom tragedy which that claimed the lives of six children and their maid on February 17, 2011.
