THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan has come forward with a reconciliation mission to persuade RSP, who have decided to fight the Lok Sabha election from Kollam single-handedly, to refrain from taking harsh decisions.
Achuthanandan, over the phone, has asked the RSP leaders to reconsider its decision to contest the election from Kollam all alone. He told them any problem or grievance could be sorted out through talks. He also asked CPM general secretary Prakash Karat to interfere in the issue, subjectively.
CPM politburo member S Ramachandran Pillai said RSP’s decision was unfortunate at a time when Left parties should come together to fight the election.
