NEW DELHI: K P Dhanapalan MLA has said that it was painful for him to give up his Chalakkudy seat and contest from Thrissur. But, he fully agrees with high command’s decision to make necessary changes in the candidature.
He was speaking to the media after P C Chacko was asked by the Congress to contest from Chalakkudy.
Dhanapalam said that decision to switch the seat was not imposed on him. “Though I wished to contest from Chalakkudy, the party has asked me to contest from Thrissur. Which ever Congress man contests from Chalakkudy, the victory is sure for him.”
He said he didn’t feel that the Congress had shown injustice to him. The high command had called him up, asking him to cooperate with the party decision.
