Four including family run over by train in Aluva

ALUVA: Four persons including three from a family were run over by a train at Thaikkattukara in Aluva. They have been identified as Mithun (19), son of Suresh and Usha of Thaikkattukara, Sudheeran (51), his wife Bindu (46) and daughter Nikhila (14), natives of Kattappana.

The family was staying on the second floor of Mithun’s house.

The body of Mithun was found on the railway track behind the petrol pump in Thaikkattukara early Saturday morning at 5.30 am. The bodies of the family were found on the railway track near Manthrakkal Temple.

Initial reports say the couple may have taken the extreme step after the death of Mithun. Sudheeran’s bike was found from near the spot. Sudheeran, an employee of Elloor FACT was living here for quite some time. Bindu was an employee of K S Medical Shop. Nikhila was a ninth class student.

Mithun was a student of a private college in Thrikkakkara. The bodies of the four have been shifted to the district hospital in Aluva. The police have taken further steps.
