KOTTAYAM: A woman and her daughter were fatally knocked down by a train at Kumaranalloor in the district. Twins, who sustained serious injuries, has been admitted at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
The bodies of the two identified as Sandhya, wife of Biju of Kattappana, and her daughter Vidya, were found lying inside the tracknear the Neelimangalam Bridge at Kumaranalloor.
The twins identified as Akhil and Ashwin aged 9, with serious injuries have been admitted at the intensive care unit of Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
On information obtained from the children, they reached Kumaranalloor last evening. The house of Biju is found locked in an investigation conducted by the Kattappana police. No details have been obtained from the local residents. The Gandhinagar police have started an investigation.
The bodies of two migrant labourers were found from a river near the same track on Tuesday morning.
