THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Taking a dig at the Left parties, Kerala Congress (M) chairman and Finance Minister K M Mani has said that the LDF will not get back even the security deposit in the coming Lok Sabha election. Dean Kuriakose will be seen as his party’s own candidate and he will work for his victory.
“Idukki seat is the soul of Kerala Congress. In the case of seat, it has not expressed any displeasure. In the election, the party has compromised its ambitions for the victory of the UDF,” Mani said, adding “in the politics of Fronts, compromises are natural”.
Mani said the LDF had lost its sheen to lure people; instead it had been repelling people, forcing them to ditch the Front. Weirdness in LDF policies was to blame. “Only UPA government is fit to run a stable government,” he added.
