KATTAPPANA: Dean Kuriakose, UDF candidate contesting in the Idukki Lok Sabha seat, faced sharp criticism from Idukki Bishop Mar Mathew Anikkuzhikkattil. He was harshly criticized when he came to seek the blessings of the bishop.
The bishop said leaders visit us only to seek votes. After assuming power, they forget us. The congress leaders are arrogant. The youth congress without any maturity had criticized the sabha over the Kasturirangan report.
He also criticized Idukki MP P T Thomas. Thomas, who was against the sabha in the Kasturirangan issue, dug his own pit. The sabha has not ousted him. He was forced to withdraw from the fray.
Minister Adoor Prakash was also not spared. He was blamed for the lapse in issuing title deeds for farmers in Idukki. He should be ousted for taking an indifferent attitude on the issue, the bishop said.
