THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A notorious gangster and his team involved in many cases have been arrested. A warrant has been issued against Vinod included in the goonda list. Many cases have been registered against him in Peroorkada, Nedumangad and Aruvikkara stations. He is an accused in an attempt to murder two CPM leaders and a cop of the AR Camp.
Vinod is suspected to be involved in the incident where seven lorries were damaged in Aruvikkara yesterday for not giving money. A team led by Vinod reached the crusher a week before and demanded money. Their demand was that each lorry coming out of the crusher should pay them Rs 150. But they were not willing to give money.
Even after threatening them, they were not willing to comply. The goons in a fit of rage attacked the lorries yesterday.
