KOCHI: A Plus Two student who jumped into the lake from Venduruthy bridge has gone missing. He has been identified as Abhilash (18), a student of Palluruthy SDPY school and son of Lalan from Perumbadappu Vellayikkode Nikarthil.
The incident happened at 7:30 on Thursday morning near Shipyard. Some eye witnesses have said that the boy jumped off the bridge after leaving his two bags on the bridge. Soon South Police reached the spot but they could not save the boy.
The police came to know about the boy’s whereabouts when they searched his bags.
Later, Navy’s diving squads were called in and the search for the boy is going on. The reason for the boy’s misdemeanour is not known.
