Thiruvanchoor made money out of TP’s book: VS

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: “It was Thirvanchoor who sold TP Chandrashekharan at meat price. It was he who sold his book on TP and minted money out of that business,” said Achuthanadan who was taking part in the poll debate organised by the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club on Saturday.

“TP had informed the chief minister Oommen Chandy and Union minister of state Mullapally Ramachandran about life threat he was facing. And in spite of that, did they give him protection? Without doing that then, now they are shedding crocodile tears,” he said.

Achuthanandan said what the CPM conducted was a secret inquiry into the murder and he was not willing to divulge the details of the inquiry team. “I had not given any letter to government, seeking a CBI inquiry into TP murder but the letter was given to Party General Secretary Prakash Karat. In the letter request was made to inquire into all aspects of the murder.”

As per the investigation, Party’s local committee member K C Ramachandran was sacked from the party after he was found to be guilty. The case of other accused by the court is different. “Let the CBI probe take place as per law. We are not making any comment on it. My culture is to clear doubts through interactions and I will go any extent to take action,” said VS.

When asked about TP’s wife K K Rema, he said, “if she is sad, let her find a solution to her problem by herself. Those who have pained Rema are still in power. It is media that has made the TP issue a celebration. What I want to tell Rema is not to trust people like Thiruvanchoor.”

VS said what media should focus is more serious issues like price rise and pending welfare scheme pensions, instead of Saritha or TP.
