Rivals worried about CPM’s unity: Pinarayi

KOCHI: CPM State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the CPM’s preparedness to fight the Lok Sabha election with revived strength and unity has given butterflies in the stomach of its political rivals.

“People who have till now tired to ruin the party are a desperate lot now. Abuses and curses emanating from different corners are those coming out this dejection,” said Pinarayi after inaugurating the renovated Ernakulam CPM District Committee office.

Once again taking a dig at KPCC president V M Sudheeran, he said the latter was praising Vajpayee to appease BJP voters.

He said, in the history of Lok Sabha elections, the biggest blow is awaiting the UDF. “At national level, the Congress will get reduced to two digit figure with respect to the number Lok Sabha seats it would win. The inability of the Congress to find solutions to burning issues will also cast its spell on all states during the election,” he said.
