PATHANAMTHITTA: The statement of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy that the court criticized him without hearing his version in the land fraud case, is like insulting the court, said opposition leader V S Achuthanandan. The observation of the court is like slapping the chief minister, he said.
The government’s act of using the fund of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme for other purposes is like violating the code of conduct. The government should have tried to obtain the fund from the centre, he said.
