Kottayam seat for Janata Dal

KOTTAYAM: Kottayam Lok Sabh seat will go to Janata Dal (S). The decision regarding this was informed by Kodiyeri Balakrsihnan in the CPM District committee on Tuesday. Mathew T Thomas may be fielded in Kottayam.

Janata Dal (S) had made it clear that it would contest the poll alone, if it was not given a seat. The party leadership has also decided to field candidates in Aalathur, Vadakara and Wayanad constituencies.
