Oust Jayarajan, say Chennithala & Sudheeran

WAYANAD/THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and KPCC chief V M Sudheeran Sunday requested Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayn to oust Industries Minister E P Jayarajan over the relatives’ appointment issue. He has lost his moral right to continue as the minister, Chennithala said at the press meet in Wayanad.

Jayarajan did what any other industries minister had not done. It is not enough to cancel the appointment of his relative alone. All appointments should be cancelled. Appointments will not take place in public sector organizations without the consent of the chief minister. Criticizing Jayarajan when it turned a controversy, is only to save the face. The problems could not be resolved with all these. Corruption and nepotism were seen from his side. A case should be registered against him under Prevention of Corruption Act.

The chief minister is protecting Minister Jayarajan.  The LDF came to power announcing action against the corrupt. In reply to a question, he said the opposition will go forward intensifying their strike in the self-financing issue.

V M Sudheeran too demanded the resignation of Jayarajan terming him as the first accused in the case. The chief minister’s statement that he is not aware of the issue is unbelievable.

Action should be taken against the guilty over the custodial death in Thalassery.
