THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: SBI and associated banks have blocked more than six lakh ATM cards here for security reasons.
However, the card holders were caught unawares when their cards were blocked without prior notice. Those customers with obsolete cards should apply for new cards soon, it is informed.
Meanwhile, bank authorities said the action came in the wake of a number of ATM frauds. They said customers were informed about the same via SMS
