G Karthikeyan demands action against Corp secretary

Friday, February 17, 2012: Kerala Assembly Speaker G Karthikeyan will write to Local Self Government Department and Chief Secretary demanding action against T Bhaskaran, secretary of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation.
The Speaker is miffed with Bhaskaran for failing to appear before him in person after being directed by his office and not reporting the reason for inconvenience to do so.
Karthikeyan directed Bhaskaran to appear before him after a letter from his office demanded payment of professional tax from 141 MLAs.
Bhaskaran who is currently on election duty in Uttar Pradesh sent additional secretary C Radhakrishna Kurup on his behalf.
