Tvm: Unusual rise in water level in wells creates panic

Saturday, February 18, 2012: An unusual rise in water level in the domestic wells at Mukkola near Mannanthala created panic among the residents here on Friday night.
According to the police the incident occurred at around 7 pm after the residents noted a rise in water level in their wells. Fearing that the wells would collapse the residents immediately fled from their houses.
The police said the officials of the Centre for Earth Science Studies (CESS) were informed about the incident.
