Ban on media: AG to meet CJ tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is again intervening in the issue between the advocates and the media. As per the directive of the chief minister, Advocate General C P Sudhakara Prasad will meet high court chief justice tomorrow and hold talks for a solution. The chief minister has specially directed the advocate general to do what all he could do to solve the issue. The chief minister has requested all to cooperate and create a friendly atmosphere in courts. The AG will request the high court to take necessary steps to remove the ban on the media.

The AG has requested the advocates not to block the media. It is not a good act to ban the media in the high court. The AG said the lawyers association does not have the stand of banning the media only some advocates are against them. The AG said that he had a telephonic conversation with the chief justice and will hold detailed talks tomorrow.
