THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said the political killings being carried out by the RSS and BJP “under the shelter” of Central rule is a challenge to peaceful life of the people. The gruesome murder of CPM Kannur Paduvilai local committee member Mohanan is an unpardonable crime.
Mohan, a toddy shop worker, was allegedly murdered by a gang of RSS men, while we was inside the shop, Valankichalil near Pinarayi.
“By making unilateral attacks, the BJP and RSS are playing with the fire. In a time span of 4 months, five CPM workers were killed by the RSS. In the last two weeks, four CPM workers were heinously attacked. These very saffron brigades are shouting that it is the CPM workers who are unleashing attack,” he said.
Kodiyeri also made an appeal in his statement to peace-lovers to come forward to protest against the political killings in a democratic manner.
