THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Making his submission on Aranmula airport issue, Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan said in the Assembly on Wednesday that the LDF government under him had not given any permission to fill the land and then the green signal was given only for the airport project.
Achuthanandan said: “I had given suggestion to the Pathanamthitta collector to give a report after going through the application given by an MLA. Such a suggestion need not be seen as an order. I only signed the minutes and how can it be an order?”
He blamed the UDF government for going ahead with the project even after the revenue officials found out some anomaly in the project.
It may be recalled that a few days ago CPM leader M A Baby said that the Achuthanandan government had made a mistake in Aranmula airport project.
