Saritha gets bail in two more cases

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court granted bail to Saritha S Nair in two more cases related to the solar scam. The accused was given bail in two cases registered in Ernakulam North Police station for collecting money from Fr Louis and V P Joy. She will be released from jail only after getting bail in two more cases.

Saritha’s advocate informed the court that the complaints were settled after returning money. But the court did not grant bail considering that. She was granted bail after the court found that the charge sheet has already been filed and investigation complete and also there are no other complaints.

Meantime, the special investigating team informed the court that Saritha and her aides collected Rs 6 crores in the solar scam. Out of the amount, 5.5 crores were spent to lead a luxurious life. The team was able to retrieve only a lakh.

It is not essential to settle the cases with the cheated money. Police informed the court that her relatives and friends might have helped her. The team also told the court the dealings took place via 16 accounts and all her accounts were frozen also.
