Actress Soundarya’s death: Pilot’s father demands CBI inquiry

KOLLAM: Oommen Joy, the father of the pilot of the flight that crashed in Bangalore, killing four of its passengers including actress Soundarya, has sought a CBI inquiry into the ‘mysterious’ accident. It has been 10 years since the accident occurred.

Joy, the father of pilot Joy Philip, said at a press conference here on Wednesday that he had knocked on many doors to bring out the truth behind the accident.

The father, a resident of Peace Villa in Mavelikkara, said he had lodged  complaint with many from Karnataka DGP to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. On Februray 20, a petition was also given to Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi through Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala. All his efforts had gone in vain. He alleged that the flight had flouted civil aviation rules and regulations.
