Mystery deepens as traces of poison found only in Mani’s body

THRISSUR: The death of actor Kalabhavan Mani declared unnatural and sudden has deepened the mystery around his death. The sudden death of the actor has sent shockwaves to the film industry.

The liquor he consumed contained traces of poison. The actor and his friends had a liquor party at the outhouse adjacent to this house on Friday night. His friends are found to be safe and then what happened to Mani is suspicious. The police and the excise have sealed the outhouse.

Police believe that there was no reason for him to commit suicide. His family too is of the same stand. The police are trying to find out as to what has happened actually. Police questioned Murugan, the outhouse employee.

Further steps will be taken only after getting the post mortem report. Meantime, the police are examining many things including from where he bought the liquor.

An actor from Idukki who entered the film industry through mimicry too had participated in the liquor party. Though the police don’t think that they had any bad intention, the police is likely to question them after the actor’s cremation.

The Chalakudy police started investigation after registering a case following the report of doctors that there were traces of poison in his body. It can be confirmed after getting the post mortem report and the forensic result.
