Petrol pump strike from Monday midnight

KOCHI: The All Kerala Federation of Petroleum Traders has called for an indefinite strike from Monday midnight.

As many as 2000 petrol pumps will remain close as a result of the strike.

The strike has been called to protest the reluctance of oil companies to renew licences of petrol pumps. Earlier talks held with Indian Oil Corporation failed.

The federation also alleged that sanctioning new pumps without following norms were affecting their business.
