SFI protest turns violent; Scribe, policemen injured

KOZHIKODE: The SFI activists on Friday took a protest march towards Deputy Director of Education (DDE) office to protest against the government’s decision to give permission to autonomous colleges. Kerala Kaumudi senior photographer P J Shelly camera also got damaged in the agitation.

The march turned violent when the protesters jumped over the police barricades and rushed towards the DDE office. Police used water canons against the protesters. In the milieu, a journalist and policemen got injured.
Kasab police have taken case against the attackers.
