After one-and-a-half year Jagathy graces public function

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Jagathy Sreekumar on Saturday made a public appearance on the stage after a gap of about one and a half year. He had come to inaugurate the docudrama organised by ‘Amritha Varshini’, a society for children with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) or brittle bone disease.

It was Jagathy’s son Rajkumar who took wheelchair-bound actor to the stage. Malayali’s dear ‘Ambili chettan’ was received by the audience with thunderous, long-lasting applauds. Seeing the excited audience, Jagathy raised his left hand and greeted them. Since his right arm lacked mobility, Rajkumar helped his father light the inaugural lamp with the other hand.

Music director M Jayachandran and Magician Gopinath Muthukad were among those who attended the function.
