THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Putting an end to days’ long stalemate, rebels of P J Joseph group of Kerala Congress (Mani) are planning to return to the LDF. Francis George, Antony Raju and Dr K C Joseph, leaders of the Joseph Group will be joining the LDF. Most probably, the official announcement will be made today.
Differences of opinion started after a section of party leaders belonging to the P J Joseph group asked for a fair deal on seat sharing. Political commotion started after Mani Group was against in giving their seats. Though Mani tried to attain more seats, the congress has so far not taken a favourable stand. Though the chief minister intervened, he was not able to sort the problems.
Meantime, P J Joseph had earlier assured to be with the UDF. The problems started in the Mani Group soon after Mani resigned his ministerial post. Though some from the KC (M) wanted Joseph to resign, leaders of his group stopped him.
