THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan, remanded in judicial custody in the Kathiroor Manoj murder case, has been discharged from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) in Thiruvananthapuram and taken back to Kozhikode Medical College. After an examination at the hospital there, he will be shifted to Kannur Central Jail. He was taken to the railway station in an ambulance at 8 am Thursday morning.
The ambulance bringing him from Kozhikode to admit him in SCTIMST had met with an accident in Thrissur and his had led to severe criticisms. In this situation, a decision was taken to take him by train. Eight cops of Kannur A R camp has been appointed for his security. A team of doctors will receive him at the station in Kozhikode.
