THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the recently held local body by-election, LDF scored more seats. Out of 9 wards, LDF won 4, UDF got 3 and BJP, 2 seats.
Election was held in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation’s Vazhottukonam ward and Ayikkudi ward of Kadakkavoor panhcayat. CPM's Rani Vikraman and Sheela S won form Vazhottukonam and Ayikkudi respectively.
Congress' Sivanandan won from Adinadu South ward of Kollam Kulasekharam Panchayat.
BJP's Nisha won from Ozhuvappara ward of Palakkad Pallashana Panchayat. Congress' Prathibha won from Mandam ward of Kuzhalmandam panchayat.
BJP's Suma Vellachalankandi won from Balussery South ward of Kozhikkodeu Balussery panchayat.
CPM's T Asokaan won from Azhikkal kadappuram ward of Kannur Azhikode panchayat. CPM's Maimoonathu won from Kodakkadu ward of Kasargod Peelikkodu panchayat and Muslim League’s Suhaija won from Cherkkala West ward of Cherkala panchayat.
