PATHANAMTHITTA: Ayyappa devotees were beaten up again at Nilakkal. Devotees from Tamil Nadu were beaten up near the parking ground. The devotees later staged a protest on the ground itself.
A similar incident happened on Monday also. The police beat them while trying to control the heavy rush in Sabarimala. Many devotees were beaten up by the police at Nadappanthal, Marakottam, and Sabaripeedom.
The Kerala High Court had sought an explanation on such incidents. The court directed Sabarimala special commissioner K Babu to submit an investigation report.
