KOTTAYAM: State Intelligence Reports say LDF in Kerala will gain lead in the Lok Sabha polls. The report submitted to the government mentioned that the Left Front would garner half of the seats when compared to last time. The report was produced after assessing the political changes and voting pattern.
The report says the LDF is likely to win in Vadakara and Kollam, where chances were bleak after the T P Chandrasekharan murder case and after the shift of the RSP. Apart from these two places, there are chances for the front to win in Attingal, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Alathur, Kannur and Kasargod.
The secret investigation department’s report says the reason cited for the defeat in Idukki and Pathanamthitta is the internal problems of the UDF. It has been asserted that after the report was submitted, there were talks in the Front about the rout of Pathanamthitta and Idukki.
A tight race was witnessed between the LDF and UDF in Alappuzha and Mavelikkara constituencies. There are chances for a photo finish here. Votes garnered by small parties will be crucial in these constituencies. Votes gained by BSP in Mavelikkara and the ones gained by NDA candidate A V Thamarakshan will be vital.
