KOTTAYAM: Five including four members of a family were stabbed following a dispute in giving a rubber plantation on lease. The dead has been identified as Ouseppachan (60), son of Minister P J Joseph’s aunt. Ouseppachan’s wife Usha and children Appu and Lijo and servant Biju have been hospitalised at the Kottayam Medical College hospital with injuries.
The police have arrested Kuttappan, native of Kanjirappally in connection with the incident. Kuttappan was a tapping employee in the plantation owned by Ouseppachan. It has been hinted that the dispute in giving the plantation on lease to another person ended in the stabbing.
