Jayarajan sent to three-day CBI custody

THALASSERY: The Thalassery Sessions Court Tuesday has ordered to send CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan, remanded in Kathiroor Manoj murder case, to three-day CBI custody. The CBI will question him on March 9, 10 and 11 from 9 am to 6 pm only. They can question him either in the jail or in the hospital. The court has directed the CBI to be careful on his health.  The CBI filed a plea seeking his custody for three days.

Meantime, he has been remanded in the case till March 11. Jayarajan was named as 25th accused in the case and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) charges also slapped against him.The medical team submitted a report that the condition of Jayarajan undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College is stable. The Kannur jail superintendent submitted this report to the court.
