Differences of opinion in BJP over tie-up with Mani

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Differences of opinion cropped up in the BJP following the statement of party state president V Muraleedharan that the party is ready to cooperate with Kerala Congress (Mani) in self-governing bodies. Some leaders of the BJP are against the cooperation of Mani, who recently resigned in the bar bribery case. A section of the party have opined that the decision would stain the image of the party.

In the meanwhile, former state president and party national executive member P K Krishnadas came forward opposing the statement of Muraleedharan. The party had strongly protested against the corruption of Mani and there is no significance for a tie-up with Mani, he said. Let Mani leave the UDF and come and a decision can be taken then, he said.
