Man stabbed to death

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The final moments before Beverages Corporation outlets in the city closed shop for three days saw long queues and a brawl near Karimadom Colony that ended in one person being stabbed to death. According to the Fort police, Vasu, 38, of Karimadom Colony was allegedly stabbed to death by Rajesh, 40, of Karamana around 4 pm. The two, reportedly in an inebriated condition already, had an argument while standing in queue. Rajesh is alleged to have stabbed Vasu. Though he was rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, he was declared brought dead. Rajesh was arrested soon and would be produced before court on Sunday, police said. The body of Vasu was shifted to the MCH morgue, from where it will be handed over to relatives after an autopsy on Sunday.
