Pempillai Orumai leader Gomathy hospitalised

MUNNAR: Pempillai Orumai leader Gomathy was admitted to hospital at around 8:30 morning on Friday after she was found fatigued. It is suspected to be case of suicide attempt. But the doctor said overdosing of medicines is the reason for her tiredness.
Gomathy’s husband Augustine, meanwhile, said Gomathy was heartbroken over false rumours spreading about her, a reason for her present condition.     

There were reports of differences of opinion between Gomathy and her colleagues. When Gomathy was out of station for some days, they had no clue about her whereabouts. At that time, they started spreading the word that Gomathy had gone to meet AIADMK activists by going back on her promise that she would work without the support of any political party.  

Gomathy Augustine who became a hero of womenfolk through Munnar stir had won with a big majority from Nallathanni Division of Devikulam Block Panchayat. Lisi Sanni of Nalllathanni Estate, Gomathy Augustine of Devikulam Estate, Indrani Manikantan of Devikulam Factory are the other popular women leaders of Munnar.
