THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The age limit for recruitment of candidates in general category to various posts through PSC will be raised to 40.
The government has also decided to recommend the PSC to raise the age limit for recruitment of backward classes to 43 and SC/ST categories to 45.
The decision will be taken in the next cabinet meeting. If the PSC accepts the recommendations, it will benefit lakhs of people.
