THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 22-year-old woman was found murdered after hitting on her head early Monday morning. She has been identified as Manu, daughter of Surendran and Shobana staying in a rented house near CSI Church at Paruthikuzhy in Kumarichantha coming under Poonthura police station limits on the Kazhakoottam-Thiruvallam bypass. The body of the woman was found on a land near Kumarichantha Attukal Hospital and was spotted by the local people. Top police officials have reached the spot.
Poonthura circle inspector said some marks were seen on her face. Manu is one of the three children of Shobana, who is selling tender coconuts.
Manu has three children from her first husband. Sources said Manu was seen going out with Ratheesh, staying with them early this morning. It has also been stated that Ratheesh used to torture her severely on suspicion and her relatives alleged that he may have killed her.
