THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A friendly race should be conducted if Idukki seat is denied to the Kerala Congress,, said Antony Raju. The race will be held fielding Francis George. Briefing reporters, he said friendly race is not a new thing in the UDF as it has happened before.
Majority of the activists are of the same opinion. A friendly race has happened in Kaduthuruthy in 1996. Nobody has opposed K M Mani’s demand of two seats in the party meetings convened so far.
The Congress benefited from the merger of Kerala Congress. I hope the Congress will show the magnanimity to give back the Idukki seat, he added.
