V S to be centre of attraction even during Rema’s Kerala Yatra

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As slain RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan’s wife K K Rema gears up for Kerala Yatra, all eyes are turning towards Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan.

Since the CPM has restricted V S from making public statements, whether he will make any comment on Rema’s yatra is yet to be seen. But, if he doesn’t utter a word opposing the yatra, that too will become the subject of discussions.

V S has always shunned CPM’s stand on TP murder and expressed his concern for   Rema. When Rema was lying in front of Secretariat, fasting for CBI inquiry into TP murder, V S had dropped a ‘letter bomb’. As that is the case, V S stand, whatever it may be, will be widely discussed.

Rema’s Kerala yatra will begin on March 16 from Kasargod and it will end on March 26 in Thiruvananthapuram. Kerala will be in the poll mode by then when discussion on selection of candidates will be heating up. If VS comes out to support Rema, it will trigger another political controversy and it will be the CPM which will be badly affected. On the other hand, if VS chooses to keep mum, it will also become a topic of discussion. So, when Rema begins the journey, the CPM men would be the most anxious lot and they will see to it that VS doesn’t open mouth.
