Pinarayi raps Centre’s stand on Italian marines

THALIPPARAMBU: CPM State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the Central government’s decision not to invoke SUA against the Italian marines was like surrendering nation’s pride to foreigners. “The government has no respect and value for the life of the poor. The government’s stand shows this,” Pinarayi told media persons on the sidelines of his Kerala Raksha March.

He said, “If anybody expresses doubt over Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi’s special interest in the case of Italian marines, nobody can say that it is wrong.”

Pinarayi also said he was eager to know about the KPCC president’s opinion on the issue.
