P C George firm on his resignation

KOTTAYAM: Chief Whip P C George Tuesday said that he would resign if an order after changes made in the Kasturirangan report is not issued before the announcement of polls. George said that after resigning, he will lead the people’s agitation. He said that he will address the media within two days. Talks are being held with people of the same thoughts, he said.

The government was given enough time. If a decision beneficial for the people is not taken, one cannot go forward. P C George made his stand clear at a time when the Thamarasseri diocese decided to launch agitational programmes in the Kasturirangan issue. The members of the diocese had a telephonic conversation with Kerala Congress leaders.
