KOCHI: The Kerala high court has temporarily stayed the execution of sentence awarded to Lambu Pradeep, the 31st convict in T P murder case. He has also been granted a conditional bail. The court’s order comes in the wake of the petition moved by Lambu, questioning his sentence.
Erimjapalam special court had awarded 3-yr jail term and a fine of Rs 20,000.
The court also rejected the public prosecutor’s plea to give special consideration to TP case.
The court maintained that it was not interested in adding politics to the case. The court also put aside the request of Director General of prosecution to speed up the arguments on appeal filed by the convict against his sentence.
