KGS group tries to hoodwink Pollution board

PATHANAMTHITTA: KGS Group, which has taken up Aranmula airprot project, has tried to hoodwink State Pollution control board by showing the Capital Investment to be 100 crore where as the original amount is Rs 2000 crore.
    
The company has been asked to submit an affidavit regarding the investment when it is assessed that the investment needed is 10 times more

When the project was accepted in principle in 2009, KGS group had declared that the investment needed was Rs 2000 crore. But on Januray 7, 2011, the capital investment was shown as Rs 100 crore . The fee paid by the group was Rs 3.30 lakh. If the project cost is Rs 2000 crore, Rs 60.6 lakh should be paid as fees.

Meanwile the pollution board has clarified that the permission letter will be given after the KGS remit the total fees.
