Cooperative societies to observe hartal

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More than 2000 primary Cooperative institutions will observe hartal on Tuesday in protest against the allegedly damaging attitude of the Income Tax department towards them.

At a press conference here on Monday, Kerala Primary Cooperative Societies’ Association Secretary Advocate V Joy informed that as part of the protest the Cooperative societies would boycott work and take out a Raj Bhavan march. CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan would inaugurate the march at 10 am in front of MLA hostel.
