Rema’s protest turned into anti-Marxist platform: Pinarayi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rema’s protest, demanding a CBI probe into the TP murder case, has been turned into a centre of anti-Marxist forces, CPM State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has said.

From Ex-Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan to SDPI activists, all anti-Marxist forces came together on that common platform, he said while interacting with media persons on the sidelines of his Kerala Raskha March on Monday.

What was seen at the protest venue of the RMP was a strong alliance of anti-CPM forces. Thiruvanchoor should clarify what made him demand for a CBI inquiry, all on a sudden. TP case investigation stared while he was the home minister and if the probe is not up to the mark, it is his sole responsibility, Pinarayi has said.

Pinarayi said many things were implicit in the fact that many leaders including ministers had come to the protest venue. The UDF, which had cut a sorry in front of the people of Kerala, was trying to reap political mileage out of Rema’s fast. "People here has the commonsense to sense that".

Taking jibes at Defence Minister A K Antony’s statement that Kerala is a new generation state, Pinarayi asked whether Rahul Gandhi climbing atop a police vehicle was what he had meant as new generation style. “If that is the case, CPM doesn’t have that style,” he added.
