THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Allegations of corruption have been leveled against Power Minister Aryadan Muhammed in the assembly. Irregularities have been detected in the purchase of meters, alleged A M Aarif. He alleged that the meters were bought from LNT Company for an exorbitant price and the vigilance report on it was buried.
The government failed to follow the condition that changes should not be made after calling the tender. They avoided companies willing to provide meters for cheap price and instead the tender was given to another company.
But the minister rejected Arif’s allegation and said the government did not suffer any loss in the deal. He said the meters were bought in the same rate given to the previous LDF Government.
