KOTTAYAM: In the Vithura sex scandal case, the Kerala high court has upheld a lower court order that acquitted actor Jagathy Sreekumar of all charges.
Justice P Bhavadasan in his order said the government was not able to produce proper evidence to prove that Jagathy was guilty. “In that circumstances, the court doesn’t feel that it is necessary to interfere with trial court’s verdict,” said the order.
The bench which deals with cases of assault against women and children was hearing a petition filed by the government against Jagathy’s acquittal.
